The University of Manchester and the Students’ Union champion student leadership in access and widening participation through Access All Areas.

Access All Areas is a student-led group supported by the Students’ Union who run projects and events aimed at tackling inequalities in access to education. On the 16 March Access All Areas will be holding a national conference to celebrate successful access and widening participation projects, paying particular attention to the roles of current students as ambassadors, role models and leaders.

The conference is ideal for practitioners from Students’ Unions, universities and widening participation organisations as well as current university students. It will be of particular interest to those who hope to develop student leadership within access and widening participation initiatives.

Speakers include: The University of Wolverhampton and Wolves SU, Sussex Students’ Union, Kings’ College London Students’ Union, The Brilliant Club, IntoUniversity, The University of Manchester – Widening Participation Department, The University of Manchester Students’ Union Off Campus Students’ Project, Manchester Outreach Medics and LGBTQ+ Peer Support Project (Access All Areas Projects), NUS and NUS Scotland.
