Cultural Practice Magazine launched

The Institute for Cultural Practices based in the University’s School of Arts, Languages and Culture has launched a new online magazine featuring critical reflective pieces on arts management, arts practice, cultural policy, heritage studies and museology.

Its initial focus is on the issues and challenges surrounding COVID-19, featuring a range of contributions from colleagues across the University and cultural partners in Greater Manchester.

Articles include ‘Cultural access and the new normal’, ‘What collecting spontaneous memorials can tell us about recording the experiences of COVID-19’, ‘The value of parks in everyday lockdown’ and ‘Museums and memes’.

You can read the first edition of the magazine here.
