Socially responsible alumni share their career advice

Over 100 University of Manchester alumni working in social responsibility roles are inspiring the next generation to follow their career paths by sharing advice with current students and fellow graduates.

Graduates working at the likes of Greenpeace, Médecins Sans Frontières and the United Nations are volunteering to review CVs, offer advice and even jobs via the Manchester Network – the University’s new online advice service that lets students and alumni connect with graduates around the world.

Over the past three years, over 11,000 students have benefitted from alumni volunteers who visit campus to share their career advice. The Manchester Network means that students can now seek guidance from alumni online, while the alumni offering the advice benefit from accessing the talent that makes Manchester among the best universities in the world for graduate employability.

University of Manchester students and alumni can register or log in now to the alumni website and access advice by going to the ‘Mentoring’ tab and searching by interests, profession or location.
