We’re asking our staff and students to share their thoughts on how well we engage the public in our research, teaching and social responsibility activities.

The University of Manchester currently holds a Gold Engage Watermark which recognises our commitment to and the ways in which we engage the public in our research, teaching, and culture activities. We are now renewing our award and have invited all University staff and research students to take part in an institutional survey to share how well they think we support public engagement.

Their experiences and perspectives will be invaluable to the renewal process and will help enhance and improve our leadership, communication, practical support, and reward and recognition processes for engaging the public in our work. Their input to the survey will complement the comments we have already gathered from our external partners.

The survey takes around 15 minutes to complete and is open to staff and students with and without direct experience of public engagement.

The Watermark is granted by the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE) and the survey closes 31 March 2023. 

To say thank you, for every completed survey, we will donate £2 to Manchester Central Foodbank.
