There is just one week to go before our 2022 Making a Difference Awards take place, live from the Whitworth Hall on Tuesday 10 May.
The Making a Difference Awards aim to recognise and celebrate the many different types of social responsibility achievements of the University’sâ¯staff, students, alumni and external partners.
Everyone is invited to joinâ¯ourâ¯Chancellorâ¯Lemnâ¯Sissayâ¯OBEâ¯and ourâ¯President andâ¯Vice-Chancellor Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell,â¯live onlineâ¯atâ¯ourâ¯Makingâ¯a Difference Awards onâ¯Tuesday, 10â¯May, 18:00 –â¯19:30.
Afterâ¯twoâ¯years of virtual ceremonies, we’reâ¯fortunate to be hosting our 2022â¯Awards live fromâ¯the Whitworthâ¯Hall,â¯whereâ¯we will beâ¯presentingâ¯the winnersâ¯and highly commendedâ¯awards in person. This year’s ceremony will mark Lemn Sissay’s last Awards, as he passes on the Chancellorâ¯batonâ¯this summer. Tune in to watch Lemn perform his newly commissioned poem, commemorating his seven years as the University’sâ¯Chancellor, live for the first time.
