On the 12 March, The Works and The Growth Company Employment are supporting International Women’s Day with an event aimed at women who are interested in working in the construction industry.

Women in Consruction aims to raise awareness and provide information to women who are considering a career in the construction industry and will involve presentations and networking opportunities with key members of the industry as well as general careers support.

The event will take place at The Salvation Army, 71 Grosvenor Street, Manchester M13 9UB. Details for the event are as follows:

1.00pm: Arrival, registration and refreshments

1.15pm -1.45pm: Presentation by GC Employment, The Works, Manchester City Council and Laing O’Rourke and a female construction worker.

1.45pm-3.00pm: Construction Jobs Fair including: Meet the employers, meet the mentors, National Careers Service, GC Education and Skills, The Works & skills support for employment.
