Sociology academics set up network to support early career scholars of ethnicity and race

Dr Dharmi Kapadia, Lecturer in Sociology and Dr Remi Joseph-Salisbury, Presidential Fellow in Sociology at The University of Manchester are leading a team to set up a network to support early career scholars and PhD students who work on race and ethnicity.

The network will organise workshops on race and ethnicity research, and provide support on career development, skills training and anti-racist activism. Network members will be able to sign up for mentoring for individualised support and advice.

The network is organised by the Centre on the Dynamics of Ethnicity, based at the University of Manchester, and RACE.ED at the University of Edinburgh.
