Time to join forces: An interdisciplinary approach to fighting mental health stigma.

Time to join forces: An interdisciplinary approach to fighting mental health stigma.

9:30am – 4pm, 7 September.

This event aims to disseminate our research findings and generate discussion/raise awareness of mental health stigma. The research aimed to gather people’s experiences of stigma in relation to either their own mental health problem or caring for someone with a mental health problem. The research team will present these findings at the conference, alongside guest speakers, who will talk about their seminal stigma research. We will also be hosting a workshop and a panel discussion.

Both the research relating to this event and event itself are a collaboration between The University of Manchester, Stockport and District Mind and The University of Surrey.

The event is aimed at clinicians, policy makers, academics, service users, carers and service providers.

If you would like to attend please email Wai Kan to reserve a place.
