Patient and Public Advisory Board

The University’s Manchester Pharmacy School is one of this country’s leading schools of pharmacy for the training and education of the current and future pharmacy workforce, and for conducting world-leading research in both pharmaceutical science and pharmacy practice. We are committed to working in partnership with members of the public to ensure that both the teaching we deliver and the research we carry out is of the highest quality and meets the needs of the public.

We are currently looking for members of the public who will help us to work towards these goals by contributing to our Patient and Public Advisory Board. The Patient and Public Advisory Board, which meets three times a year, advises on teaching strategy and the content of taught undergraduate units, and research strategy and the content of applications for research funding. It consists of two sub-committees: one for pharmacy teaching and one for pharmacy research. We are looking for people interested in joining either one of these sub-committees, or both.

If you live in Greater Manchester, use pharmacy services and are interested in helping to shape our future pharmacy workforce and to improve the quality and relevance of pharmacy research, please contact Michelle Riddehough for more information and an application pack or call: 0161 275 8358.
