Kate Osamor MP calls for a future with less inequality

Kate Osamor, Shadow Secretary for International Development, will visit The University on Friday 2 November to talk about her vision for a world that addresses inequality as well as poverty. The Labour MP for Edmonton will be visiting the University as part of the Global Development Institute Lecture Series that is open to the public as well as staff and students.

The Global Development Institute Lecture Series provides space for leading development thinkers to discuss their latest research and ideas and Kate Osamor will be outlining her vision for a world that addresses inequality as well as poverty.

As Shadow Secretary of State for International Development, Kate has argued that the UK has a crucial role to play in building a world for the many, not the few. Kate has committed a future Labour government to setting a twin goal for all international development spending – not just reducing poverty but also, for the first time, reducing inequality and making the world fairer.

Tickets are free and all are welcome. Delegates encouraged to register for a place beforehand.
