Coursework for Change
The University of Manchester is ranked first in the world for our contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. A key part of this is the work of our students.
Across the University, students are engaging with global challenges through their coursework, producing research and projects linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Coursework for Change demonstrates how sustainable development is being explored across disciplines, enabling students to apply subject knowledge to contemporary social and environmental challenges and share their learning beyond the classroom.
We invited students to share examples of their work to recognise the thought, time and dedication behind these projects, and to highlight the contribution of student research to real world issues. This also responds to what students have described as the ‘Turnitin abyss’, where work is submitted, assessed and then rarely seen again. By showcasing these projects, we aim to bring student work to wider audiences and encourage conversation around the Sustainable Development Goals.
