Open to the public
We have a range of inspiring public spaces and visitor attractions that are open to our local communities.
Cultural venues
Our cultural venues invite people to explore ideas, creativity and discovery, from live performance and exhibitions to heritage, literature and the wonders of the night sky. Through venues such as the Manchester Museum, The Whitworth, John Rylands Research Institute and Library and Jodrell Bank, there is something to inform and inspire.
Our Ahmed Iqbal Ullah RACE (Race Archives and Community Engagement) Centre connects research, culture and creativity with the wider public, enriching cultural life across the city region.

Free Room Booking for Community Members
The Open Doors Project is a community room booking scheme established by the Office for Social Responsibility in collaboration with Manchester Museum, Alliance Manchester Business School and the Christabel Pankhurst Building. The scheme allows community members to book meeting rooms totally free-of-charge on our campus. These room bookings are open to voluntary and charity organisations, CICs and social enterprises, community groups, and residents’ associations. We look forward to supporting your amazing work!
