The Great Science Share for Schools campaign is growing with pace…we are so pleased that 20 satellite events and 130 schools will be taking place on 19th June 2018. This will mean we surpass last year by far with 22,500 children already targeted to be engaged across the 4 nations of the UK!

Our central event will be held at The University of Manchester, Whitworth Hall from 12-3pm. All that day we will be looking to do two things:

  • Link scientists with local school children – in their schools across Greater Manchester. This has taken the form of a short 1 hour visit to a local school on one’s way to work. If that’s something you or your colleagues can do then great.
  • Link scientists with school children via social media – twitter and Skype… this is likely to be between 12-3pm in our media room which will be in the Council Chamber in between the Whitworth and Manchester Museum. This will require a short pop in and you’ll be supported. Best to have times scheduled so we can make the most of you.
