Biology Week is an annual celebration of life science with events all over the UK and beyond for everyone from children to professional scientists. It is a great opportunity to share your passion for biology as part of the biggest week in the life sciences calendar, now in its fifth year!

Biology Week 2016 will run from Saturday 8 – Sunday 16 October inclusive. There are many different ways to get involved:
- Running your own event (example: lectures, debates, or quiz nights using the Biology Week quiz)
- Organising or running a stand at a Big Biology Day – read about organising Big Biology Day Cambridge on our blog
- Running or taking part in a competition (example: The Physiology Society’s Biobakes)
- Launching an online resource (example: OUP’s biologist gallery, Biomed Central’s AMR focus)
- Educational outreach project (example: University of Warwick’s kitchen science)
- Hands-on activities at public or school events – you could borrow one of our biochemistry-themed activity kits or download other free activities.
- Attending or organising a trip to one of the many events around the UK and beyond
