Due to hugely popular demand, I am pleased to say that, in partnership with the Manchester Museum and with funding support from the Faculty of Medicine, Biology and Health, for the 7th year running, researchers from across FBMH will take over the Museum from top to bottom with the Body Experience on Saturday 18 March as part of British Science Week. We will host stands with interactive, fun and family-friendly activities from all parts of the body, including brain, lungs, heart, kidneys and more!

For those of you that have taken part in the past, you will know what a brilliantly vibrant event this is and I do hope you will consider joining in the fun again this year. For those of you new to the event, highlights can be seen here:

We are look for volunteers to help the day run smoothly. This includes helping on the Welcome Desk, helping run the evaluations and signposting people to the various activities around the museum. It is a great opportunity to add something to your CV, dabble in public engagement and try something a bit different.

If you are interested, please get in touch via email with your name, current role/course and a sentence about any relevant experience. Deadline for this is Friday 24 February. Places are limited and will largely be on a first come, first served basis.

Please get in touch if you have any questions at this stage – email: ceri.harrop@manchester.ac.uk
