Many of you will be bombarded with requests to host work experience students at all stages of their school career, and often many have to be turned away. Find out from colleagues across the University how they deal with such requests, what strategies they have employed to host students for work experience and what their top tips are for supporting work experience.

The next engagement@manchester meeting will focus on Supporting Work Experience and will take place on Wednesday 11 December, 1pm -2pm, Renold Building, Room F1. Mince pies will be supplied!

Speakers:

  • Sam Rowbotham – organises the work experience programme for the School of Psychological Sciences Outreach Group
  • Kath Hinchliffe – co-founded and runs the Life Sciences Year 10 Work Experience Programme.
  • Ceri Harrop – supports work experience placements across Life Sciences from Year 10 through to A-level students.
