This year, the Manchester Maker Faire will take place on 10-11 August 2013.
You can find out more and apply to be a Maker here.
The organisers are hoping to make this year’s programme of event bigger and better than last year’s and are already planning some big outdoor making activities and a wider range of hands-on workshops.
One thing they have added this year is a small programme of brief, exciting talks and presentations; so please do consider whether you have anything to offer this section of the programme.
Also, for those of you who work with young people in any capacity, Manchester Maker Faire are particularly keen to encourage young makers; they were well-represented last year but the more the better. So please encourage young people to submit their work. If you (or they) are uncertain about whether what they want to exhibit is suitable, please feel free to have a chat with the organisers first.
We’re looking for all sorts of people to create a community weekend event that brings together science, art, craft and engineering in a fun-filled tribute to the DIY spirit in everyone.
