The Manchester Branch of the British Science Association are running a workshop at MakeFest at the Museum of Science & Industry this weekend (20th and 21st August, 10am-5pm). We’re looking for a few more volunteers to help out!

The workshop is music themed – making musical instruments from everyday objects, such as the ever popular ‘Carrot Clarinets’ and ‘Glove-o-phones’. If you saw us at the Bluedot festival, you’ll know what I’m on about and that I’m not makin it up. It’s been pretty popular with the public and our volunteers.

Your role as volunteer will be to help running the workshop, including showing the participants how to make and play their instruments, and general things needed to keep the workshop running over the day. No prior experience is required and training will be given on the day on how to do the activity.

If you are interested in volunteering, please let me know by email and give me your preferred days (Saturday, Sunday or both) and available times?

Hope you can join us.
