Wishing trees, the inside of a living chrysalis, and the ravages of weather all feature in this year’s Images of Research competition at The University of Manchester.

The images provide a behind the scenes look at the work being carried out by researchers both on campus and around the world. This year’s theme is “The Big Picture”. The images demonstrate how research being carried out at the University makes a real difference to you.

14 photographs showing the wonder and diversity of our research have been shortlisted and are on display from Monday 7 October to Monday 4 November 2013.
