This year, at the annual Engage conference NCCPE are planning to hold a poster session event to stimulate conversation and networking.

The Engage conference will take place on the 27 & 28 November in Bristol, with the poster session planned for the afternoon of the 27 November.

This event will provide the opportunity for people wanting to initiate conversations about:

Great public engagement practice e.g. a project they have run/ participated in

  • Big questions relevant to delegates at the conference, that you would like to discuss
  • Research relevant to public engagement practice that you would like to explore with delegates
  • Partnership working e.g. an example of a partnership you are currently working with
  • Re-imagining the future for public engagement with universities
  • Practical information

Posters should be A1 size, portrait orientation. You will be required to stand with your poster during the poster session. We are happy for people to make use of posters that have already been created but please note that posters should follow our guidelines. Remember the aim of the poster is to attract people to have conversations with you. All posters should have a title.

A pdf copy of the poster will need to be emailed to the NCCPE by 12 November 2013 in order to be included on the conference website. Failure to contribute your poster prior to the event will mean that your poster will not be included in the conference.

In addition, each poster should be accompanied by a contributor label – which should include your name and a recent photograph. This will enable delegates to find you during the conference, if they want to talk to you about your poster. Therefore all successful poster applicants will need to provide an image for use of the label.

If you are interested in submitting an application to contribute a poster, please complete the application form and return to lisa.adlington@uwe.ac.uk by 7 September 2013.
