As part of Manchester Science Festival 2012 the British Science Association Manchester Branch is hosting a rude science evening, Sensored Science – 30 October, 5pm, The Lass O’Gowrie, 36 Charles street, Manchester, M1 7DB

People are guaranteed a fun filled evening. Professor Mathew Cobb, University of Manchester, will be kicking things off with his maggot experiments. What is more, people will be given their own maggots and will get to make their own experiments!

A fun science based pub quiz, based on the senses, will follow with prizes to be given to the winners. We will explore if science can actually be funny with the comic styling of Andy Watson a man described as “one of the best acts on the circuit at the moment” (Tel Banham, The Halifax Comedy Club).

To finish the night off the one of a kind band Being 747 will rock out the night with their science inspired music, which includes their evolution guide.

The evening promises to be a one of a kind and amazing value. Tickets £2; booking required. Book here.
