On the 6 July 2016, as part of Manchester’s designation as European city of Science 2016, we are asking all schools across Greater Manchester and beyond to be part of the Great Science Share. We want young people to share their science across the city on that day.

See http://manchestersciencecity.com/gss/

Primary, secondary schools and colleges will be sharing science and we wish to incentivise as many as we can to get involved. Various organisations and groups are offering incentives, such as trips or resources to schools for taking part. This might be a visit to a lab or a guaranteed, free place at an event you will be running this summer or beyond. If you have an outreach activity you do with schools we would like to know whether you’d like to offer it as an incentive.

It doesn’t mean you’d need to do it on the 6 July – it could be at a date/time convenient to you and the school. It can be for pupils aged 3-7, 7-11, or 11 – 19 years old.

For more information – or to list your activity as an incentive – please contact lynne.bianchi@manchester.ac.uk
