Our Alumni office is working with the University’s global alumni community to actively contribute towards our social responsibility goals. Following the successful pilot of Manchester Day in 2018, the University is launching a new volunteering programme: Manchester Day of Action 2019.

During Manchester Day of Action alumni from across the world choose local community or charity projects which a group of alumni then support during ‘day of action’ in June. We are asking our organising volunteers to align their projects with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and will provide them with branded apparel (t-shirts, banners etc.) to help them visually capture their volunteering activities and showcase that Manchester alumni collectively make a difference – wherever they are!
