Eight thousand students – one grand challenge

When the fictional University of Millchester needed to build a sustainable campus it appointed probably the largest project team in history – 8,000 University of Manchester students – with a timeframe of just one day to deliver it.

Public Screening of The Divide

As part of our work to address inequalities and to align this with our research beacon of Addressing Global Inequalities, The University will be hosting a free public film screening at the John Rylands Library on Thursday 10 November.

Open Labs: Behind the Scenes of Manchester Science

At the end of July, as part of the Science in the City Festival, the University held ‘Open Labs: Behind the Scenes of Manchester Science’, a unique opportunity for members of the public to experience what goes on in science labs in each of the three Faculties across the whole University.
