Manchester Museum has been named European Museum of the Year in recognition of the way it balances globally significant academic research with community engagement and social responsibility.
We’re proud to share that we have been awarded the prestigious Fairtrade University two-star award, recognising our ongoing commitment to ethical sourcing, sustainability, and global responsibility.
Our University, Manchester Metropolitan University and Manchester City Council came together to celebrate the announcement of Manchester’s dual status as a UNESCO City of Lifelong Learning and City of Literature. These are partnerships show our commitment to share our knowledge with the wider public.
We are delighted to announce that The University of Manchester and the University of Cambridge have been awarded £4.8 million by Research England for a cross-UK innovation partnership, aimed at accelerating inclusive growth and collaborative innovation.
Lastly, check out our short film by Stephanie Snow, our Academic Lead for Public Engagement with Research, where she talks about why public engagement is so important for the University and our recent Universally Manchester Festival.
