Preparing future leaders for a challenging, ever-changing world

Raj AriyaratnamOur graduates have a distinctive education and learn in a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages them to aim high, take intellectual risks, and develop sustainable solutions to problems both local and global. Students have opportunities to engage in the biggest social, economic, and environmental questions facing the world – through bold, action-led initiatives tailored to individual needs.

Raj Ariyaratnam, Professor of Dental Education and Global Oral Health and Academic Clinical Lead for the Oral Medicine Teaching Programme explains more about his vision of addressing dental health inequalities both in Manchester and globally while improving students learning experience.

His international CPD programme, Global Online Learning Forum (GOLF), has shared knowledge and skills with hundreds of global health care professionals, particularly those from low- and middle-income countries which has resulted in impact reaching thousands of people in Asia and Africa.

Our campaign, Manchester Minds, showcases the people making a difference to our teaching and helping students to realise their full potential.
