For the past twelve months, two multi-disciplinary teams from the University have been working with The British Council (UK) and AdvanceHE to promote improved gender equity in higher education and research institutions.

Founded in 1941, Outward Bound are an educational charity with a mission to inspire young people to defy their limitations, so they become strong, resilient, and curious, ready for the challenges of life.

Earlier this year, the University’s Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health (FBMH) launched our very first Undergraduate ‘Talking Science’ Competition.

In spring of 2022 the University’s Creative Manchester, the Centre for New Writing (CNW) and the Great Science Share for Schools launched this year’s Schools Poetry Competition, a civic engagement exercise that aims to nurture budding young poets in our local community.
