As Manchester Museum enters the final stage of its exciting £13.

We’re celebrating our 17,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students who have shown extraordinary resilience to graduate during such a disrupted period for them, our university and our country.

Ever wanted to find out a little more about some of our staff, students and community partners and what inspires them to make a difference? In our “Meet the…” films we feature a series of personal stories and perspectives of being a part of the University.

Students from The University have been involved in a project to catalogue and preserve tributes left on the Marcus Rashford mural in Withington, after thousands of people had covered over offensive graffiti with positive messages.

University of Manchester Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme have established partnerships with 700 local schools providing our highly motivated trainee teachers with approximately 70,000 days in schools every year, allowing them to educate and improve the life chances of children in Greater Manchester.

Back in May Bernard Keavney was highly commended at our 2021 Making a Difference Awards for his research which is helping fight cardiovascular disease in the African population.

This year, Manchester Outreach Dentists (MODs) won our Making a Difference Award, for their outstanding contribution to widening participation.
