Danielle George, Professor of Microwave Communication Engineering at the University, has been presented with the 2016 Rooke Award by the Royal Academy of Engineering for her efforts to promote the subject to the public.

Widening Participation Fellows Impact on the Local Community

Manchester Medical School students Jess Azmy and Umair Gondal have delivered and developed an innovative workshop as University Widening Participation Fellows (WP Fellows) to encourage pre-GCSE students from state schools across Greater Manchester to consider medicine.

Cultural Explorers Programme

Our Cultural Explorers Programme, aims to provide access to four of the University’s cultural institutions for all 9 year olds from the primary schools located in the local areas of Ardwick, Hulme, Moss Side, Rusholme and Longsight.
