On Friday 12 May, Dr Sarah Heath, Director of Education and Assistant Vice Dean for Equality, Diversity and Social Responsibility, won the Sue Ryder Yorkshire Women of Achievement Awards 2017, in the Science and Technology Category.

In 2016, the University of Manchester raised over £75,000 for charity through the Great Manchester 10K.
