The top floor of Manchester Museum

Manchester Museum’s Top Floor is a space for people to come together to learn, share ideas, build community and make plans. You’ll find education groups, charities, artists, writers, social enterprises, staff and students co-working and collaborating here, with a shared commitment to social and environmental justice. It includes a teaching studio, greenhouse, therapy room, pop-up exhibition and events space and co-working hub.

In April the museum’s newest partner Rekindle welcomed the first students to their new school, which is currently based on the Top Floor. The school was conceived and developed by young people who have created the school they wish they’d attended. It focuses on critical thinking, cultural education, change-making and creativity, and aims to reignite a love for learning.
