The aim of the Manchester Access Programme (MAP) is to help students who meet specific academic and background criteria, achieve entry to the University of Manchester, or another research-intensive university, through the completion of a portfolio of work demonstrating specific knowledge and skills.

Students who are successful in gaining a place on MAP will be able to participate in a number of different workshops and activities at our University campus. The workshops include: Make yourself a success, interview skills, research and referencing skills, subject-specific taster days, medicine and dentistry simulation days, personal statement drop-ins, along with many more.

If students successfully complete the programme, they will:

• Receive a reduced offer of up to two A-Level grades below the standard entry offer
• Receive a scholarship of £1,000
• Receive advice and guidance for their UCAS application and personal statement, and can receive an early decision on their application to The University of Manchester.
