Manchester Festival of Climate Action

The University of Manchester is to host a four-day programme tackling today’s biggest climate questions.

Taking place two weeks before COP26, experts at the Manchester Festival of Climate Action (11-14 October 2021) will share insights and innovative solutions to the climate crisis.

Free, online and open to all, the festival will dedicate each day to one of the four COP26 goals mitigation, adaptation, finance and collaboration addressing the issues that matter to policymakers, industry decision makers, NGOs, charities and the public on a local, national and international level.

Professor Colette Fagan, Vice-President for Research explains: “Our Festival aims to inform action by sharing innovative solutions to the biggest climate questions. Scheduled at a critical juncture in the climate debate, it will see our world-leading community of experts address the most pressing global challenges, so that we can help drive the action needed to help future generations.”
