Greater Manchester Legacy Programme

The University of Manchester is delighted to be supporting the next Greater Manchester Legacy Programme  alongside Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Laing O’Rourke. The free programme, run by Common Purpose, is open to to all young people (18-25 year olds) living, working and studying in Greater Manchester and will take place on 10-11 February.

The programme is designed to connect young people with a diverse group of their peers as well as to established leaders. It will provide insights into what matters locally as well as giving them the skills, confidence and voice to be strong leaders of the future.

How can applicants apply?
Young people can apply through the Common Purpose website – it only takes a few minutes. Common Purpose review applications on a rolling basis so the sooner they receive them the more likely they can guarantee a place on the programme.

On 10 & 11 February, up to 100 young people aged 18-25 years old will come together from a range of organisations, sectors, backgrounds and cultures to work together to shape a future that connects more with their generation.

This is an opportunity for young people to:
Learn how they can use their voice to leave a legacy.
Build their confidence, know-how and social capital.
Build connections and relationships with peers across the city.
