Meet Sarah Fox, Executive Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) at The University of Manchester. 

In this short film, Sarah explains that EDI begins with deep listening, taking the time to truly understand people’s lived experiences and ensuring those voices shape the work we do. That means listening across the whole University community, and from this listening, a new EDI framework is taking shape. For Sarah, EDI should be visible and felt where it makes a real difference, whether that is in access to lectures and teaching resources, or in how staff experience recruitment, development and progression. 

Sarah highlights how each of us can support EDI through everyday choices, conversations and actions and how we can get involved, whatever our role.
