Making A Difference Awards – cast your vote now!

Vote for the winner of the ‘Outstanding contribution to widening participation’ category in this year’s Making a Difference Awards

The winner of the ‘Outstanding contribution to widening participation’ category of the Making a Difference Awards will be decided by a public vote as well as the judges votes.

Three entries in the widening participation category have been shortlisted by a judging panel for the public vote. With help from Media Services, each of the three nominees have created a short film to provide an overview of their work, on which you can base your vote.

The Shortlisted projects are:

  • Funfair – vote for their entry here
  • No Recourse – vote for their entry here
  • Pathways to Law – vote for their entry here

In order to vote, please follow the links to the short videos and cast your vote by ‘liking’ your preferred entry. Voting closes on 2 May.

This is a fantastic opportunity to increase the awareness of widening participation and celebrate both staff and students who work hard to support young people from all backgrounds and remove barriers to accessing Higher Education. Please do encourage colleagues, family and friends to vote too!

The winner will be announced at the Making a Difference award ceremony on Thursday 2 May 2019, alongside all the other award winners in the University’s Whitworth Hall.

In total there are nine Making a Difference award categories. To view the full shortlist, please visit the Social Responsibility website.
