South Asian Heritage Month
South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM) is an annual celebration in the month of July, dedicated to commemorating, and educating about the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of people with roots in South Asian countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Manchester University Press have a specially curated reading list which includes a wide range of titles across history, politics, literature and more, including a debut book Come What May, We’re Here to Stay from journalist Taj Ali about the history of British South Asian activism, which is publishing in September.
