Health research on diseases affecting African populations has a history of being carried out by non-Africans.

On Monday 8 March International Women’s Day (IWD) will be marked in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health with Dr Nicole Brown speaking on her research on experience of disabled, chronically ill and/or neurodivergent members of higher education staff.

The Manchester University Dental Awareness and Empowerment (MUDAE) society have been working hard alongside Dr Raj Ariyaratnam to set up their exciting new society which will be part of our University’s social responsibility plan for 2020-25.

Conspiracy theories have been rife throughout the pandemic, from suggestions that the virus is caused by 5G technology through to ideas that vaccinations will implant chips into our arms.

Working with Schools across Trafford in Greater Manchester, the Social Responsibility team in the School of Environment, Education and Development (SEED) have developed a creative writing competition to encourage children to have fun with their writing and learning during the pandemic.

Manchester’s LGBTQ+ Village has, for generations, been a space where people gather to express diverse sexual and gendered identities.
