Volunteer of the Year Awards 2021 – entries close soon!
In a year like no other, the impact of COVID19 has demonstrated just how incredible volunteers are. Now is your last chance to recognise them for their ongoing efforts in the University’s Volunteer of the Year Awards – an event which celebrates the actions of staff, students and alumni.
Make a nomination before Sunday 7 March (midnight).
Celebrating the very best of volunteering, the awards give the University and community partners the opportunity to recognise those who epitomise what it means to make a difference. There are three individual categories: student, staff and alumni; and one group category for students. If you don’t work at the University, you can still nominate someone for an award.
Very often, the nominees who get recognised have been put forward by someone who knows them at the University, and are often in a great position to explain the difference these individuals have made to their communities.
Last year’s winners include projects where volunteers expanded a sustainability shop business; assisted students in a night time safety initiative, delivered youth programmes nationally and internationally and ran sessions to SEN and SED young people in Manchester with charity Sexpression:UK.
Be inspired by the stories of last year’s winners or for more information, visit the Volunteer of the Year page. We can’t wait to see your nominations.
