Big Volunteer Day achieves record-breaking numbers

On Wednesday 12 February, 145 students took part in The University’s Big Volunteer Day – a one-off volunteering project which forms part of annual Student Volunteering Week, delivered in partnership between the University and Students’ Union Volunteering Teams.

The University of Manchester has become the first higher education institution in the UK to adopt the Social Value Portal.

Drug modelling in the heart of Africa

At the end of November 2019, Professor Leon Aarons and Dr Kayode Ogungbenro from the Division of Pharmacy & Optometry, travelled to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Nigeria to deliver a week-long workshop titled an “Introduction to Population Pharmacokinetic Modelling”.
