During July 2016 the city of Manchester will be hosting the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF), a conference which attracts delegates from all over the world including people who have great influence in their spheres; from business leaders and policy makers to cutting edge scientists. Wrapping around the conference from 23-29 July is the Science in the City Festival, a week of exciting activities promoting science engagement and involvement for the whole community of Greater Manchester, as well as those visiting the city.

As a University our flagship activity for the festival will be to open our doors to the public, in some cases for the first time, to allow visitors to see Behind the Scenes of Manchester Science. On Tuesday 26 July and Wednesday 27 July visitors will be able to see first-hand the settings where Manchester’s brightest minds work on the next big breakthroughs.

A range of tours and activities over the two days will give you the opportunity to explore real science and have hands-on experience as well delving into the heritage of the University. The activities are open to everyone and full details can be found on the Behind the Scenes of Manchester Science webpages.

Full details of all the amazing science events taking place for the Science in the City Festival can be found on the Manchester: City of Science website.
