The Community Partner Network are also holding two focus groups to help inform the development of the UK network. 18 July 2013, London and 10 September 2013, Manchester.
Are you a community partner who is working with staff or students at a university? If so we would love to hear your views on a new UK Community Partner Network.
This focus group aims to explore views from community partners who are working with universities and from those who are interested in working with universities in the future. (Community partners could include community based organisations; charities; third sector organisations; cultural organisations; volunteer groups as well as national organisations and others.)
The focus groups will inform the development of a UK community partner network to share learning and experiences of community university partnership working, and to support universities, community organisations and funders to develop more effective ways of working collaboratively.
The work has been initiated by a group of community partners, engaged academics, the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE) and the Community University Partnership Programme at the University of Brighton (CUPP) who are committed to supporting the development of mutually beneficial partnerships between universities and community groups. This project has been funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
Participants in the workshop are eligible for a bursary to cover their travel costs.
