Following the success of our recent call for the next generation of Social Entrepreneurs with entrepreneurial solutions to societal, healthcare or environmental problems we are pleased to announce that UMIP have granted 9 Social Ignition awards allocating over £15,000 across the University.

Ideas range from promoting social inclusion and developing a cultural hub right through to the development of an intervention for children with autism.

These entrepreneurs will now be supported through the bimonthly Just Social series of workshops covering topics such as stakeholder engagement, legal structures and social values. In addition to this they will also have access to 1-2-1 support from the UMIP Enterprise Team and our UMIP Social Enterprise Ambassador, Nickala Torkington.
