Access Manchester

The University of Manchester is committed to identifying and attracting the most talented students to The University regardless of their educational background.

To help up us with this aim, we offer several access schemes (such as the Manchester Access Programme) for post-16 students who are from under represented backgrounds in higher education.

We’ve now grouped all of these schemes together into ‘Access Manchester’, which is a website that acts as the single point of reference for any potential student, teacher and supporter to find out information on what schemes might be relevant. You can find an overview of each scheme, eligibility criteria and links to further information. You can also take an eligibility survey to see which schemes you might be able to participate in.

The Access Manchester website is also a really good resource for University staff who work in admissions, widening participation, social responsibility and outreach as you can now direct anyone who asks about what help we might be able to offer without having to navigate your way through the University website.

If you have any questions about the website please contact Gemma Oakes.
