On Tuesday 28 November, the world will celebrate #GivingTuesday, an international day to do ‘good stuff’, to recognise what is already being done and to encourage people to consider giving time, money or supporting a worthwhile cause.

Each October we mark the University’s foundation with a prestigious Foundation Lecture and Honorary Degree Ceremony.

Science Spectacular took Manchester by storm as visitors mastered clouds and tornadoes at our 7th annual family-friendly science event.

On 26 October staff and students from across the University joined a whole host of guest speakers at an event organised by the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) to mark 30 years of Black History Month.

Budding photographers are invited to take part in a competition celebrating the University’s new interactive tree trail which went live on the 12 October following a fun and engaging launch event at the Manchester Museum.
