Creative Health Research Symposium: Social care and creative practice
Join Creative Manchester, a University of Manchester research platform, for the Creative Health Research Symposium: Social Care and Creative Practice.
The 2026 symposium focuses on arts and creative practices developed by various regional organisations. Come along to hear from researchers and practitioners in the field who will talk about and demonstrate some of their projects focused on creativity and arts with young people, adults, people who draw upon care services, providers and researchers committed to participatory approaches for social care.
Creative Manchester will be welcoming speakers from young people’s mental health charity 42nd Street and arts based social enterprise Made by Mortals. There will also be the opportunity to take part in a hands-on creative workshop led by Cartwheel Arts, a Rochdale-based charity promoting social inclusion via community participation in the arts.
The event is open to all, and those who work in social care, creative health and creative practice in the community. A free networking lunch is provided.
