Hardship fund success
Since the University’s Emergency Hardship Appeal launched at the end of April, over 2,000 members of our Manchester community have donated to support our students.
Gifts to the appeal will support Manchester students facing real financial hardship as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Donors from more than 80 countries have joined in, and together their gifts have built a £1 million emergency fund to make sure no student is left struggling.
Gifts from these generous donors will bring much-needed relief to students facing hardship. All of the money raised through this special appeal will help students to continue their education and fulfil their extraordinary potential.
To say ‘thank you’, staff and students from across the University have recorded special messages of thanks to those who have contributed to the appeal. We have collated these in this short video for everyone to see.
Donors from around the world are continuing to give generously, and every gift we receive will support students in need in the months to come. Please visit our online appeal page to find out more and add your support.
