Local pay-what-you-can events from Manchester University Press
The Festival of Libraries is a county-wide celebration of Greater Manchester’s 133 libraries and will take place from 7-11 June 2023. This festival allows residents and visitors to Greater Manchester to celebrate the key role that libraries play in civic life, and to use the diverse library service offer creatively.
During the Festival Manchester University Press will be running a couple of events to coincide with their book launches.
10 June
Andy Spinoza, journalist and author of Manchester unspun, will be in conversation with Eamonn O’Neal (BBC Radio Manchester presenter) at Altrincham Library as part of Manchester UNESCO City of Literature’s annual Festival of Libraries. Tickets are pay-what-you-can and there will be time for audience questions and a book signing after the talk.
11 June
David Scott, poet, presenter and author of Mancunians, will be in conversation with Dave Haslam (writer, broadcaster and DJ) at Bolton Central Library as part of Manchester UNESCO City of Literature’s annual Festival of Libraries. Tickets are pay-what-you-can and there will be time for audience questions and a book signing after the talk.
