Our top stories from February
Firstly, we published a new economic report by London Economics showing the significant economic impact of the University, regionally and nationally. Total economic impact on the UK economy in the 2022-23 academic year stood at £7.3 billion.
A big thank you to the many community groups and members who fed into our Manchester 2035 strategy development process. Attendees shared ideas on their vision for the University over the next 10 years as part of the ongoing development of the University’s new strategy, Manchester 2035.
Our President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Duncan Ivison, has signed the Concordat for the Environmental Sustainability of Research and Innovation Practice, reaffirming our commitment to environmental sustainability.
We’ve launched an Africa Strategy that sets our plans for enhanced engagement and partnerships with Africa and increase collaboration between researchers and educational institutions.
