Meet Mags Bradbury, Head of Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement

In this short film Mags Bradbury, Head of Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement gives a brief overview of our civic engagement work and how it informs and inspires our work in Greater Manchester, and how, working with partners and communities, we aim to improve lives across our city and region.

As an anchor institution in Manchester, we want to work in partnership with communities and organisations across Greater Manchester to play our part in the development of the city region. Over the last year we have been doing lots of work to partner with people and organisations across Greater Manchester. As part of the development of our new Manchester 2035 strategy, we have listened to our local community groups, residents, voluntary organisations, councillors and civic partners so that we can build their hopes and aspirations for us as a University, into our new strategy.

We have also been continuing to connect our work through our Greater Manchester Citizens Panel, in partnership with the Greater Manchester Civic University Board. Our citizens panel have provided important insights and input and have been influential in changing how we engage people across GM with what we do.

There are so many ways we work in partnership through our civic engagement, and hopefully, you will hear more through our newsletters, from the exciting developments of Unit M to our amazing student volunteers
